The goal of The Spire is to create a safe environment where all members can gather and enjoy the tabletop gaming hobby. Fundamental to that goal is the necessity that we treat each other with the dignity and respect that all deserve. We will not tolerate harassment, violence, or hostile behavior of any form by club members.
Mistakes happen and we all need an occasional reminder of a forgotten rule during a game. However, deliberate, dishonest, and fraudulent acts to gain advantage during games are strictly prohibited. These break the inherent trust that is essential for the gaming experience to be communally enjoyed.
Using, distributing, or being at the club under the influence of illegal drugs or substances will not be tolerated at The Spire. If you are under the influence of legal drugs, including alcohol, this must not interfere with other attendees and their ability to enjoy The Spire. Smoking or vaping is forbidden within The Spire and elsewhere within the building.
Members of The Spire are expected to spend extended periods of time sharing a relatively small and often crowded space. To that end, members using the club are required to keep up good hygiene that will not negatively impact the experience of their fellow members.
The Spire is a shared space, and therefore members are required to treat club property (including terrain, gaming accessories, and tables) with care. Items belonging to The Spire must be returned to their appropriate place after use. If anything breaks when in use, alert a club officer.
In addition, always ensure that you have consent before touching another member’s property. Members are responsible for their own property within The Spire at all times. The Spire takes no responsibility for any damaged, lost, or stolen property.
Members are responsible for the security of the club while they are at The Spire. Keep the door locked and do not allow entry into the club for anyone other than your own guests.
When you are the last member to leave the club, follow all posted procedures to leave it in good order for the next member to arrive.
Cameras will continuously record all activity in the club. At the discretion of club officers, violations of the Code of Conduct may result in members being asked to correct violations or leave the club, or may result in the immediate termination of membership.
